Rogério Cavaca

• Parents: Rogério Augusto Cavaca e Antónia de Lacerda Jorge Cavaca
• Birth place and date: Lisbon, 20th of September of 1940

• July of 1968, ended his schooling and enrolled in Architecture at the Oporto School of Fine Arts.
• March of 1973, obtained his Architecture Degree at the Oporto School of Fine Arts with a final classification of 16/20.
• November 1965, began his professional activity in the construction company Soares da Costa SARL, where he collaborated in Public Works projects awarded to that firm, and in the following year began to work on the company’s and their clients’ Industrial Projects.
• February 1966, organizes, together with the Architects Alves Costa and Manuel Fernandes, the formation of a Project Centre, belonging to Sociedade Soares da Costa, SARL., but juridically separated and with its own name - Vértice - Centro de Projectos de Construção, RL.
• March 1971, becomes Technical Director of Vértice, remaining there until retiring in May 1976.
• January 1977, forms his own office with two more architects.
• June 1977, ends his collaboration with Vértice.
• Experience projecting Pre-Fabricated Constructions.
• Internship in the outskirts of Paris, regarding "rationalizing construction", namely with regard to the use of metallic moulds for setting concrete "in loco" or for pre-fabrication.
• Consultant between 1981 and 1988 of Borba Town Hall.
