Madalena Cardoso de Menezes

1969, Lisbon

Architect since 1992, having received her degree from the School of Architecture, Lisbon Technical University, living and working in Lisbon. Founded the Atelier dos Remédios in 1997, with Francisco Teixeira Bastos.
In 1992 joins the team in the atelier of architect Manuel Vicente. In the scope of the work developed at that atelier, both in Portugal and in Macao, took part in the “Picadeiro” project for the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art at Queluz National Palace, coordinated architecture with specialty work at the tender conception/construction of the University of Macao Library, winning 2nd prize –1997. Integrated the winning project team, ex-aequo, at the Invitation to tender Ideas for Expo'98, Study of the European Union Pavilion for EXPO'98, Lisbon – 1996, and was invited to tender for a Hotel adjacent to the Vasco da Gama Tower – 2001.
In 2003/04 becomes assistant professor, under Architect Manuel Vicente, teaching Urbanism and City Design to 4th year students taking Architecture at the Lisbon University School of Architecture.
