Alcino Soutinho

• Born in Vila Nova de Gaia in 1930.
• Received his degree in Architecture from the Oporto School of Fine Arts in 1957.
• Jubilee Professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Oporto
• Assessor of the Lisbon Harbour Administration with regard to the Reorganization of the Riverside Area between Algés and Matinha between 1996 and 2002
• President of the Portuguese Design Centre between 1998 and 2001
• Member of the Portuguese Association of Designers
• Member of the Scientific Board of ESAD (Higher School of Art and Design)
• Member of the Scientific Board of the Magazine “Housing”, Italy
• Consultant for CRUARB (Commissariat for the Urban Restoration of the Ribeira-Barredo Area) – Oporto Town Hall between 1993 and 1997
